an 'EWI' - electronic wind instrument - is a synthesizer or midi controller that you play by blowing into it like a wind instrument.

invented in the latter half of the 20th century, innovation in the design of electronic wind instruments has stagnated in comparison to other areas of electronic music hardware.

Voice in the Dark (May 2025)

One of my first performances with the Dragonfly in concert.

A simple solo piece with no accompaniment. I like to think of the EWI as my 'voice'... so this piece is me, speaking simply, softly, plainly, in the dark, with my new voice.
